From my own personal experience I cannot speak highly enough of the care received from all G.P's at this practice. The main problem I have is the same as the majority of people: Telephoning for appointment. This can be extremely frustrating at times and if I am feeling particularly unwell and know that I need to see a G.P that day can be stressful. I am aware that I am not the only one and since bringing in the telephone consultations it has been very much appreciated and has reassured me. Another small problem is of communication with receptionists when needing to speak to a G.P that day. I am writing this without prejudice, but on occassion have felt as though I am seeking a favour above others. I do not want this to sound judgemental as I am well aware that their work is difficult, but it is something that maybe needs addressing. To reiterate is is a first class service.

I feel that once you get to your appointment the doctors and nurses are very good however the surgery is let down by the appointment system, pescription service and reception desk. I find it very hard to make an appointment using the current system when ringing up at 8:30 for the day's appointments. It is usually engaged for an incredibly long time. I start work at 8:30 so I find it hard to ring then. The pescription service has let us down numerous time with pescription a not being written, messages ignored or prescriptions being left in the surgery and not being passed to sainsbury pharmacy. The final point that I have issue with is the reception. Again the phone line is incredibly difficult to get through to no matter what time I ring. There seems to be a lot of staff absence as a reason for the phone service being busy. In the surgery last time I spoke to a receptionist he wasn't very helpful and when he realised that they had made a mistake with a pescription he didn't apologise. I realise he may not have been personally responsible but he is the front of house so should.
